Chris Reimus was named a Deputy Director of Public Health in October 2022 and has oversight of environmental health, community health, clinics, central appointment desk, nutrition, and vital records. 

Chris has over 20 years of experience in supervisory and managerial positions, having served as the Division Manager of Environmental Health in Pinal County since 2013 after having been an Environmental Health Manager in Maricopa County, where he started his career in 1996. His leadership extends to service in various public health and policy groups, including serving as past President of the Arizona Environmental Health Association and current President of the Arizona County Directors of Environmental Health Services Association. Chris has served as adjunct faculty with Rio Salado Community College for over 25 years, where he was also the recipient of the outstanding adjunct faculty award on multiple occasions. He has been a public health subject matter expert and invited presenter at local and national conferences.

Chris has a Master of Science degree and multiple certifications, including a Registered Sanitarian and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Sanitarians. He received his certification from ASU as a Public Manager in 2012. Chris is excited to help foster the collective talent of our public health team in developing, implementing, and evaluating cutting-edge public health practices, policies, and programs serving our Pinal community.
