Clerk of the Board
Title: Clerk of the Board
Natasha Kennedy Updated 2-23

Serving in the Clerk's Arena for over 19 years has been one of the greatest decisions of my life and career. I have gained extensive experience within county government, which allows me a concentrated focus on overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations within the Clerk's Office.

I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi (GO LANDSHARKS!). Also, I have obtained various certifications within the Clerk's field; they are as follows: Certified County Clerk (CCC) from The University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government and Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerk (IIMC), the MMC is a more advanced professional designation granted in the clerk field from IIMC. The IIMC program is the only highly-regarded clerk preparation program in the country. Inducted Fellow into the Athenian Leadership Society by IIMC. To be an Athenian Fellow is to hold knowledge and the quest for knowledge in high esteem.

While acquiring strong professional and educational credentials, I have also developed a strong history of service. It has been an honor and pleasure serving on the Board of Directors, Nominating Committee, Advanced Education via Webinars Committee, and Membership Committee with various Clerk Associations. In addition, I am an active member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), the National Association of Government Archives and Record Management (NAGARA), and the International Association of Government Officials (iGO).

When I am not at work, at a board meeting, or serving the clerk field, I am spending time with my family and my beloved dog, Oliver, and friends. I am an avid football fan, lover of horror movies (the scarier the better), and an avid traveler.
