1. What do I need to bring to this appointment?

Bring any documentation that you feel is important for the evaluator to have. You must bring a copy of any documentation for the other parent as well.

2. Can I bring my children with me to this appointment?

Do not bring your children unless specifically instructed to do so by Family Services of the Conciliation Court staff.

3. What if the other parent fails to show for the assessment?

If one parent fails to appear for the assessment appointment the Court will be notified and sanctions may apply. The case will get sent back to the Court for Judicial Review and the assessment may not go forward.

4. What if I am afraid to be interviewed with the other parent?

Please contact the Family Services of the Conciliation Court in advance of your appointment to make arrangements. While the assessment usually occurs with both parents in the room, there is always a third party present, separate waiting areas are available, and there is security staff on-site at Family Services of the Conciliation Court.
