The Pinal County Public Works Department would like to announce that Jennifer Corralejo and Kenneth White will be receiving honors at this year’s Arizona Association of County Engineers Robert C. Esterbrooks Awards. Senior Administrative Specialist Jennifer Corralejo was awarded this year’s Rising Star award from the association. Jennifer has been with Public Works since 2021 and is integral in assisting the department’s efforts by coordinating the Waste Voucher Disposal Program and organizing the Adopt A County Road program. She also works to support other branches within the department and created a recognition program for volunteers.
Kenneth White received an Honorable Mention honor from the organization for Operations/Construction Support. As Manager of Districts 1 and 4, White oversees the county’s construction projects in these districts and makes sure they are one time, on budget and up to spec. This year he has overseen a major construction project in Arizona City, all while having to deal with unprecedented weather and flooding issues.

The Annual Robert C. Esterbrooks Award Program was established by AACE in honor of founding member Bob Esterbrooks to recognize individuals statewide in the county public works profession. The award recognizes individual county employee service that benefits the community and outstanding achievement that fosters innovation, effectiveness, better communication and efficiency that ultimately results in a better product delivered to the communities we serve. This year, only eight awards will be given from the organization for the entire state. “This is a pretty big deal for one department to have multiple honors,” said Pinal County Public Works Director Andrew Smith. “Jennifer and Kenneth both exemplify what we strive for here at Public Works."
The awards will be presented at the AACE 2023 Conference in Prescott in March.
