County's Vector Control Program Monitors Mosquitoes & West Nile Virus Risk

Environmental Health

Many Pinal County residents experienced their first Monsoon storm of the season this week. This is an important reminder to remove any standing water in your yard after a storm, as mosquitoes can lay eggs in as little as a 1/4 inch of water - that can be as simple as the size of a bottle cap!

In this video, Vector Control Program Lead Tami Schuler shows off the team's new facilities and talks about mosquito control within the county.

If you have concerns about standing water (abandoned swimming pools, for example), you can contact Environmental Health at 520-866-6200 or visit www.pinal.gov/ehs.
