Donated to the county in 1992 by Magma Copper, the San Manuel Senior Center has served as a vital resource to the community's seniors for many years providing social engagement and enrichment opportunities. The San Manuel Senior Center has greatly increased its membership over the years, and the building has since been in significant need of a revamp. Members connected with county staff to establish funding through which they received $96,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to make the needed repairs. On Thursday, July 20, the ribbon was cut on the newly renovated building, the center now serves as a vibrant facility and resource for the seniors of San Manuel. Click the video to learn more.
