Director Audra Michaels Featured on AZFamily, Discusses the Current Influx of Animals at the Shelter Pinal County Animal Care and Control Director Audra Michael was recently featured on AZFamily to raise awareness of issues the shelter has been facing as they have been dealing with an influx of animals to the shelter. This influx began in 2021 and hasn't slowed down. Currently, the shelter has over 230 dogs in their care and is running out of space to house the animals, and is also facing a volunteer shortage.
