"Ralph has been a volunteer with PCSO's Posse for the last three years. While his primary responsibilities are to coordinate the repair and maintenance of Posse vehicles, Ralph has become a reliable fixture within the Fleet Services department by taking the initiative to assist in a wide variety of ways outside of his defined scope. This was particularly helpful during a period of time last year when the shop was severely understaffed. During that time, Ralph has 1) assisted with the yard organization and cleanliness, 2) coordinated delivery and pickup of all Posse members' vehicle services and needs, 3) transported vehicles to and from outside vendors to have work performed, 4) performed simple jobs (e.g.wiper/battery replacement) to free technicians to address more urgent and complex jobs, 5) stripped accident/wrecked vehicles of decals and equipment to prepare them for disposition, 6) performed service calls to help county employees change flat tires or jump-start vehicles.
Fleet Services cannot thank Ralph enough for the generous gift of his time. The County is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteer employees."
