Search and Rescue Posse

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) Posse is a volunteer unit developed to support the Search and Rescue Unit. The SAR Posse members are highly trained to locate the lost, render aid, and conduct technical rope rescues over some of the roughest terrains.

PCSO currently uses the SAR Posse to perform missions in Pinal County and surrounding counties if requested. The SAR Posse is always in need of volunteers. Experienced hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who have the desire to help people are encouraged to apply here

Pinal County SAR Posse is an all-volunteer organization (501c3) through the Pinal County Justice Fund. Having support from the community as well as local and national organizations have been very important in our ongoing SAR operations. Without donations, we would not be able to obtain the necessary equipment or specialized training that is so critical to what we do. We are deeply indebted to all who donate, and we thank you for your generosity and willingness to help us help others.
