About the Fee
As of May 1, 2009, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office began the collection of an administrative fee of $150.
This Administrative Towing Fee is set by statute and will apply to every vehicle impounded under the 20-day Tow Impound law (Arizona Revised Statute 28-3511). The fee may only be paid Online using a debit card or credit card. The fee is a flat fee of $150 plus a $3.44 surcharge. No other form of payment will be accepted.
- The Administrative Towing Fee is payable to Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
- Owners and lien holders desiring to have their vehicles released prior to the 20th day must request and have scheduled, a Post Storage Hearing first.
- The Administrative Towing Fee must be paid at the time of the scheduled hearing.
- After the 20th day of impound, a hearing is not required. However, the Administrative Towing Fee of $150 plus the surcharge of $3.44 is required, and the Vehicle Release must still be obtained from the Sheriff’s Office allowing for the release of the vehicle.
Please note, the Administrative Towing Fee is separate from any towing fees charged by the tow truck company.
